Rock Dachshunds

Every so often we have to turn off the waterfall on our pond to clear out a line, change the filter, etc. Now the pond happens to be located in the front yard and the rock “mountain” that serves as the waterfall is the high point in the yard. This is what I came outside to find yesterday:

Rommel and Franzi sitting on top of the mountain offering them a commanding view of the yard from a lofty 3 feet up (well, lofty for a couple of dogs that are only 10 inches tall, anyway.)

Franzi – klutz that she is – did end up falling in the water and had to dog-paddle her way out.
